Confessions of a Reasonably Dangerous Mind Let's call this one, punch-drunk blog...I have no idea what you should all expect...I haven't a clue myself. All I can say for sure, is that procrastination is a wonderful thing.

"The mood here, when not life-threatening, is electric!" Ugh, what a day, i tells ya. Long and short of it is i spent all of this morning chasing down a story that came up for naught, spent the afternoon freaking out about said story, and came home this evening feeling like the shit below shit. so, i took what was meant to be a short nap, and ended up sleeping through "24", the essential highlight of my evening. i did manage to catch the last ten minutes, but i had of course no idea what was going on. and now i'm still up, but still feeling like garbage a bit. and so i decided to post, because everyone loves hearing about this, insert sarcastic face now. i'm tired, and i have nothing enlightening to say, haven't for a bit, and the mere act of typing this is actually depressing the hell out of me. they said that today, the 24th, is notoriously the most depressing day of the year, for some vague reason that was never explained by the englightened voices of talk radio. i don't think that's true, but it certainly wasn't a rollicking good time. my rut's hurting my neck, it's all twisted and bent out of shape. i need a good neck snapping is what i need. wow, the rolling stones are also depressing, in beggar's banquet, at least. this isn't doing any good.
"60% of the time..it works every time." "That doesn't make any sense." Hm, been a bit of a spell since i've been here. I suppose i should briefly update. Bday went very well, thanks so much to all who attended. I got appropriately drunk and lost a good portion of my meals for that day, but that was to be expected, no doubt. Otherwise, though, extremely good times with good people who i wouldn't trade for even the shiniest rubles in all of kazakstahn. seriously.
the massive bday celebrations left me procrastinating for the whole week, though (thanks to the highly addictive "the wire", the first season which i got as a present, and it is literally as addicitive as the drugs it portrays), and now i'm kinda screwed for a lotta work. oh, and i'm sick like no one but a doctor's business. just phlegm and phlegm. which i'm all sure you needed to read. huzzah.
A very long engagement, indeed... Argh, if i have to hear about one more couple my age getting engaged or some such, i think i'll scream. or, well, cry, or maybe an interesting mixture of both, perhaps? just to mix things up. meh, it's not as bad as i'm making it out to be, but, it does freak me out. i'm going to be 22 in a few days, 22!! that's a bit weird, odd, just not comprehensible. shouldn't i have done stuff by 22? accomplished things? be in some sort of different place in my life than three years ago or so? i know i think i go through this same process every year, especially since turning 20, but damned if it doesn't feel stronger every year. this weekend was an off weekend, i spent most of it watching television and dvds, which i need to do, since i have a lot to catch up on. yep, number one priority lately seems to be dvds. harumph to that.
ah, hell with it, this is just complaining at its finest.
The Best of the Year: 2004 Ah, it's that time of the year again, just like last year (insert link here), so here we go. On a complete sidenot, this was originally started Dec. 20, and it's just getting online now. I'm terrible.

Auld Lang Something Or Other... Another year, another 365 days. Meh, I suppose i should be excited, but i honestly don't know what this year has in store. I'd like it to contain a few things, but who knows. There are a lot of things I'd like to change about myself, but I fear I may never for lack of initiative, or just plain lazyness. I'm too content in my space, not forced enough to change, and just plagued with neuroticism. I kick myself when I'm down, and once back up think of something to bring it all tumbling down. Harumph.
